Sonalika Rungta, DMD
After graduating from Boston University dental school, Dr. Rungta served the Windsor Locks community for over 13 years. In 2017, she received the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award. This prestigious AGD award demonstrates her commitment to providing the most advanced dentistry through continuing education.
Dr. Rungta loves yoga, gardening, travel, and spending time with her daughter. Dr. R has volunteered her dental services to many charities, including the Connecticut Mission of Mercy free dental clinic, the Spear Foundation in Nicaragua, and a church mission in Jamaica. Dr. Rungta supports many local groups, like the Mission of Mercy in Connecticut and the Open Wide Foundation in Guatemala.

What should I expect during my first visit as a new patient?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive oral examination, digital X-rays, discussion of your dental history and concerns, and a personalized treatment plan. We’ll also discuss payment options and answer all your questions. The entire visit typically takes 60-90 minutes.
Do you accept dental insurance for new patients?
We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.
Do you offer weekend appointments?
We don’t offer weekend appointments. We’re open on weekday evenings.
How quickly can I get an appointment as a new patient?
We prioritize new patients and typically offer appointments within 24-48 hours. For urgent dental issues, we reserve same-day emergency slots.
What if I haven't been to a dentist in years?
Don’t worry – you’re not alone! Many of our patients haven’t visited a dentist in years. We provide judgment-free care and will work with you to address any issues gradually. We focus on making you comfortable and explaining everything step by step.
